Gyutos are the workhorse of a kitchen and are designed to handle most kitchen tasks. This knife is a 240mm san mai (three layer) knife with a brute de fore finish. The blade is particularly thick out of the handle and tapers down to a finer tip. This is a hefty knife that can handle some slightly heavier work whist having a thinner tip to manage the more delicate tasks.
The gyuto is hand forged with a wrought iron cladding and a 52100 high carbon steel core. The WA handle is made out of a piece of stabilised York Gum burl with with black G10 and a copper spacers as a highlights.
